Our Story
In 1993, The Life Center (formerly known as the Inner City Church of Minneapolis) began from Pastors Chris and Monica’s home in the poorest and most crime-ridden neighborhood in the Twin Cities. The ministry grew quickly as addicts, prostitutes, the homeless and families struggling in poverty came for help and hope for a better life.
Today, the Life Center helps over 1,000 people each week through their 4-T Life-Change Process giving people the “Abilities” to succeed in life and escape poverty and addiction.
Both Chris and Monica DeLaurentis are recovered drug addicts who were transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. They graduated from North Central University in 1991; married the same year and then began their family. They have two teenage children, Caleb and Calah. Currently, Chris and Monica reside in both Minneapolis and Chicago spending half the week in each city.
